Prayer Request from a 5yr. old.
Many people….wait let me rephrase that. No one knows that my brother’s birth was the result of my prayers as a 5yr. old. I was always jealous when I’d see the worship band kids having inside jokes with their siblings or playing a game they knew but I didn’t. It made me sad. So I asked my mom “Mom what is it gonna take for me to have a little brother (i wanted a...

POH-Prisoner.Of.Home.
I literally haven’t step foot onto the outside. I’ve been at home for the past 2 days. Cleaning, writing music, learning my memory verses, sipping coffee, reading, playing intense games on my brother’s Ipad, taking care of my babies, washing clothes, creating collages, and running up and down the stairs making it my daily workout. I’ve slowly become a POH Prisoner of Home....

Truths About Rachel (4)
Since I was a child I’ve had “dreamjobs” not careers but jobs. 1. Flight Attendent: Not so much for attending people and serving people  but more for getting to know people and their stories, where they come from and so on. And really just traveling around the world. 2. Assitant: I’ve always thought it’d be cool to be the assitant of someone important and getting to...

I Should.
I should be cleaning my room but instead I’m laying in bed. I should stop being a lazy girl and get to work. I should really start memorizing those verses for interns. I should come up with the second verse chord for this song. I should stop being mean to my brother. I should stop complaining less and be more thankful. I should stop moping about the most ridiculous things. I should...

Truths About Rachel (32)
Only kind of chapstick I will use or buy is: -Nivea  OR -Pomegrante Burt’s Bees Preferably Burt’s Bees though.  Only under two circumstances will I use other kind. 1. If my lips are chapped or to the point of feeling a burning pain. and 2. If I absolutely cannot find my chapstick. Usually I’ll just go hours or even days without chapstick. Which I absolutely loathe.

Joy to My World.
It’s Christmas Day and most families are up early to open presents and eat delicious breakfast, my household however consists of my mum and I sound asleep in the same Queen Sized bed with the pups. Father is at work and brother is with the uncle. You’d think that as women we’d be up early cooking or doing something else, it’s stereotypical I know but true. However we...

Christmas to the Eve!
Christina Aguilera is singing some Christmas song of course with her typical trying-to-be-yet-somewhat-good-black-lady-voice. And I’m here in a home that’s not my own sitting all alone in a corner. The food is gone and the tummy’s are full and my family is gone with the exception of my mother and I. The cousins my only social resource are nowhere near me or in the area for that...

Tea Time/Sexy Ladies.
Not to brag (yet I am intentionally) but I do feel like I looked quite sexy tonight. Is it bad or wrong for me to say that? NO….at least I don’t feel like it is. It’s good to look hott every once in a while…right? I think so. :) Either way it was a fun party and drinking tea with the intern ladies/playing charades was epic. Love it!

Christmas Countdown Day 12, 13, and 14
Day 12: Favorite Christmas Memory? Oh my goodness my childhoos ones. I abosolutely loved Christmas as a kid. For some reason it seemed much more fun. But also last year’s White Elephant party with the acting kids. That was great! :) Day 13: Is there anyone in particularly you think about during Christmas time? Oh…. my friend Jonathan, he died two years ago two days before Christmas....

Tears I've Shed. Things I've Said.
Today I was reminiscing of things that just have occured throughout the course of this month. And well I have noticed that lately I’ve been cry quite frequently it’s not really out of sadness…. well sometimes it may be. But mostly out of anger, frustration, happiness, hurt, and even the Holy Spirit causing me to shed some tears. All I can really say is that the tears I have shed...

My Miraculous/Hysterical Night.
If you follow Ashley Dowden you’ve probably read her blog about what sort of happened to us on Thursday night. However I really need to write it out before I blog it out. So stay tuned. :)

Christmas Countdown Day 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11
I’ve been putting this off for quite a while. Day 7: What are you looking most forward to this Christmas? Everything! :) Day 8: What do you believe Christmas to be all about? Most people might think presents, family, friends, and all that jazz, and even though that might be all great, I truly believe this season to be all about Jesus. :) Jesus after all is the reason for this season. ...

Christmas Countdown Day 3,4, and 5
Day 3: Have you ever written a letter to Santa? I did yesterday! Never before but this was in Macy’s. For every letter that’s written to Santa, a dollar is donated to a kids charity program. Surprisingly my father did it too. :) Day 4: What’s you favorite Christmas song? Oh goodness I have so many! Baby It’s Cold Outside with Zooey Deschanel, Frank Sinatra’s Jingle...

I used to think....
Being an intern was the last thing I needed to prepare me for college and life, but in actuality it happened to be the first thing I’d ever need to prepare for all that and so much more.

Things Isai says #5
I’m attempting to clean my room arranging books here folding clothes there, and Isai walks in “Are you going to do anything today?” “Nope, What am I supposed to do on a day like this? But why do you ask?” “Well I was wondering if you wanted to have a snowball fight?” I thought about it for a moment, (Do I go outside and get myself cold and wet or miss an...

Christmas Countdown Day 1 and Day 2.
Day 1: Is Christmas your favorite holiday? I think it is! :) Day 2: What’s on your christmas list? I’m in dire need of my own car. So that’s pretty up there, however I’d like a laptop of my own. I really dislike having to use the library for homework. :p

Pulling an All Nighter
Stupid idea? Maybe. I just might regret tomorrow, when I’m accidently falling asleep in interns. Why? I just need to clean my room I’m so sick of it being messy. But honestly I’m mainly doing it because….well don’t judge me….I just want to decorate it with Christmas decorations. I need to do it soon too! The more days I spend with decorations that bring joy to...

The 2,548 Best Things Anybody Ever Said.
(2,405) If it weren’t for Japanese and Germans, we wouldn’t have any good war movies.    -Stanley Ralph Ross It’s so true! I recently saw Pearl Harbor for the first time. It was so good, and so was The Piano Man, and Valkyrie, Boy in Striped Pajamas, Schindler’s List, It’s A Beautiful Life, and many more!

Truths about Rachel (6)
My family is prideful, not in the way you might be thinking of but more along the lines of “I am incompetent of doing something, but I won’t let anyone help me because I don’t want people knowing I can’t do it” sort of pride. It’s a generational curse, and I’ve always known it subconsciously but after hearing a story from my mother it struck me. My grandma...
